I’m a writer and editor with work in the The New Republic, The New York Review of Books, The Nation, Lux, The New Inquiry, Bookforum, and elsewhere. I am also an editor at Lux.

I have been a producer for Serial podcast (for their fourth season, on Guantánamo Bay) and a contributing editor at The New Republic. I spent over six years as a reporter and editor with The Intercept, where I broke stories on the Snowden documents, the FBI, and CBP, and reported from Italy, Mexico, El Salvador, and Guatemala. Before that, I reported for ProPublica and was on the editorial staff at The New Yorker.
